In the Steps of Mary Magdalene
mai 15 @ 16:00 - mai 22 @ 10:00300€
For women who want to connect with the mystery of the sacred feminine.
Mary Magdalene, who according to Provençal tradition, was the bride of Christ and journeyed widely in Southern France, is a beautiful and powerful symbol of the sacred feminine. The feminine energy she expresses has long been suppressed by our patriarchal culture and religion. This energy is once again rising and all of us, women and men alike are being called to embrace the energy of the feminine as a step towards wholeness and spiritual realisation.
Starting at La Source join us on this seven-day pilgrimage to visit, meditate and pray at some of the key sacred sites in Southern France associated with Mary Magdalene.
The first step to a pilgrimage is to step off your familiar environment and consciously release your burdens. La Source, a magical ancient farmhouse in the Ardèche countryside, is the perfect place to do just that. Held in its safe embrace, we can start connecting to Her presence, that echoes all around in the pristine nature. La Source also boasts its own pure water, including in the swimming pool, and we will ritually cleanse ourselves before setting off further south to the sites where Mary Magdalene journeyed, lived and died.
Day 1 : Arrival and re-connecting to yourself
La Source – our starting point
Day 2 : Attuning to the Mary Magdalene vibration and the surrounding nature, cleansing ritual in the pure waters of La Source.

Day 3 : Setting off early, we will first visit the cave of La Sainte Baume where Mary Magdalene lived for 30 years. You will walk and slowly climb through the forest like past kings and popes and the hundreds of thousands who humbly came to honour the saint’s heritage. This is still today one of France’s most visited pilgrimage sites. Having spent some time in the forest as well as in the cave, we will go onto the nearby town of Saint Maximin to visit the Basilica where she died having received the last rites from Maximinus (the later St. Maximin), who buried her in the grotto. Her resting place became a centre of pilgrimage too.

We will then travel on to Saintes Maries de La Mer in the Camargues. This pleasant seaside town is the site where Mary Magdalene and her companions first landed in France. Here a comfortable hotel with pool awaits us to rest from our day’s explorations.
Travel time : 2.5 hours then 1.5 hours.
Day 4 : Visit to the ancient Church in Saintes Maries de La Mer, followed by free time in the town and by the beach to soak up the local atmosphere.
Les Saintes Maries de la Mer
We will then head off to the Cathar region in the South West of France where we will stay for 3 nights in a comfortable gite in a breath-taking countryside setting.
Travel time : 3 hours (excluding en-route stops).
Day 5, 6 :
Rennes le Chateau
The most magical moment of the pilgrimage – a thirty minute hike with some steep and narrow passages will lead us to a little known cave associated with Mary Magdalene, hidden in a remote countryside area outside of Rennes Le Chateau. The cave, and surrounding area is an energetic power point where the spirits are very present. It is deeply imbued with the energy of Mary Magdalene. We will meditate and pray in this unspoiled blessed space.

Visit to Mount Bugarah area, an impressive isolated rocky peak high in telluric energy, a masculine peak that will bring balance to our journey.
Day 7 : return to La Source, relaxing in its embrace again, taking stock of our journey and reflecting on what we take forward with us as we prepare to return back to our familiar surroundings.
Travel time : 4 hours (excluding en-route stops).
