Mindfulness, and forest bathing

A workshop for everyone who needs to get off the rollercoaster of burnout
We live crazy lives today. Most of us are burning the candle at both ends and in the middle! We are out of touch with our bodies, with our true needs and with nature. In this workshop we invite you to step off the rollercoaster. In the tranquil, unspoilt surroundings of La Source, we will introduce you to two powerful tools in the quest for tranquillity and harmony. Mindfulness is the practice of getting out of your head and letting your awareness return to the simplicity of now. Forest bathing teaches you how to reconnect with nature and her healing gifts. Mindfulness and Forest Bathing is that vital “me time” you have always promised yourself.
Forest bathing or shinrin yoku originated in Japan. It is a mindful and structured way of connecting with nature and absorbing the healing energy of nature. In forest bathing you literally immerse yourself in the forest, quietening your mind and letting nature be your healer and your teacher.
Studies have shown that forest bathing has positive measurable effects on both physical and emotional wellbeing. In particular, forest bathing helps to rebalance the nervous and endocrine systems and counteract the effects of adrenal burnout, or long term stress.
On the workshop, gently guided by Kalyani Ma Mukti and Nick Hudis, you will spend time in our own beautiful oak woodland and in other natural settings in the Ardéche and the Drôme as well as some « indoor time » discovering practical mindfulness and meditation techniques that you can use in your daily life.
Whether you need to get off the rollercoaster of burnout or you simply feel the call to reconnect with Mother Nature, this workshop could be a turning point in your life and wellbeing.
This workshop will be held at La Source, a 17th century farmhouse set amid vines and woods in the countryside of the Ardéche and now established as a retreat and wellbeing centre. Click here for more details.
