De-stress and revitalise with Qigong and Forest Bathing in Southern France Sept 2020
October 9 @ 16:00 - October 16 @ 16:00EUR300 à EUR997
In these stressful times it is all too easy to become drained and burnt out. At such times you need to take time out in peaceful natural surrounds to regain your equilibrium and vitality. This retreat will support you with a carefully crafted programme rooted in the ancient wisdom of the East. You will leave feeling grounded and revitalised and with your heart full of fond memories of your time here.
This retreat is will help you overcome the physical and emotional effects of stress, burnout and adrenal fatigue. It is based on the wisdom of Oriental Medicine. This ancient healing system emphasises the importance of balance in your life. Oriental medicine also places great value on the healing power of nature. In times past, it was a normal part of life to withdraw periodically from the hustle and bustle of the cities and seek healing in the peace of the forests and mountains.
It is this quality of deep relaxation and renewal in a stunning natural setting that you will find on this retreat.
You will experience and benefit from several powerful healing practices:-
Qigong – The Chinese art of balancing your energy through slow, flowing movement, breathing and visualisation. Qigong keeps you strong and supple, benefits all the body systems and relaxes the mind. It is also a joy to practice whilst being gentle enough to be accessible to anyone. On this retreat, you will master a sequence of eight movements that encompasses the essence of Qigong. All you need in fact for a life-long support to your wellbeing.
Forest bathing or shinrin yoku originated in Japan. It is a mindful and structured way of absorbing the healing energy of nature. In forest bathing you literally immerse yourself in the forest, quietening your mind and letting nature be your healer and your teacher. Studies shown that forest bathing benefits both physical and emotional wellbeing. In particular, forest bathing helps counteract the effects of adrenal burnout, or long-term stress.
Water therapy La Source, our retreat centre, is blessed with its own source of incredibly pure healing water. It is in the taps, in the showers and in our saltwater swimming pool. This retreat will introduce you to Japanese Water Therapy and other ways to benefit from this wonderful resource.
Five element nutrition This is the traditional Taoist food philosophy which balances the energies, tastes, colours and textures in your food to provide balanced, delicious and visually attractive nutrition. Combine this approach with the best of France’s organic, seasonal produce and the result is out of this world!
Meditation Each day we will offer you a guided meditation focused on bringing balance and awareness to your life.
Taoist Tea Ceremony – A beautiful practice of mindfulness and a chance to experience delicious hand-crafted organic teas from China and Japan.
